[Abstract] Objective: To observe the influence of staged health education on anxiety, depression and compliance of family members of neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE). Methods: 98 cases of family members of neonates with HIE treated in our hospital were selected as the study objects, and were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, 49 cases in each group. The control group were given routine education, and the observation group were given staged health education. Knowledge of health education, anxiety, depression, compliance, education satisfaction were observed in the two groups. Results: The scores of disease knowledge, scientific feeding, basic nursing, diet matching, attention items and clinical symptom scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After education, the scores of SAS and SDS were significantly lower than those before education in the two groups (P < 0.05), and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The scores of treatment, regular visits, room arrangement and symptom observation scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group was 93.88%, higher than that of 79.59% of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Staged health education can effectively alleviate anxiety and depression of family members of neonates with HIE, and improve compliance.
