[Abstract] Objective To explore the status quo of trait mindfulness and its relationship with anxiety , depression sleep quality and job burnout in primary medical staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. The multi-stage random sampling method were adopted, 700 medical staff members from various grassroots medical institutions in Chenghua District, Chengdu were selected as the research subjects. The Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MASS) were used to investigate the trait mindfulness level of medical personnel. According to the MASS score, They were classified as poor, moderate, and good with scores ≤ 40, 41-65, and 66-90, respectively. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) , Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) ,Pittsburgh sleepquality index(PSQI)and Maslach burn-out inventory-general survey(MBI-GS) in patients with different trait mindfulness levels were compared. The relationship between trait mindfulness level and anxiety, depression in medical personnel were analyzed. Results The average MASS score of 700 medical staff was (56.92 ± 10.83), with 145 being poor, 428 being moderate, and 127 being good; The GAD-7 score and SDS score of the better group were significantly lower than those of the worse and medium groups, while the GAD-7 score,SDS score,PSQI score and MBI-GS score of the medium group were significantly lower than those of the worse group (P<0.05). The MASS score of medical personnel is negatively correlated with GAD-7 score, SDS score, PSQI score and MBI-GS score (P<0.05). Conclusion During the COVID-19 pandemic, the trait mindfulness of primary medical staff was mostly at the medium level, and trait mindfulness level is related to anxiety, depression, sleep quality, job burnout and so on.
