〇bjective To explore and observe the effect of psychological nursing intervention to improve theanxiety and depression of elderly patients with diabetes. Methods 110 case of elderly patients with diabete from January 2014 to January 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group(n=55) and the con- trol group(n=55). The patients of the control group were given usual nursing care, the patients of the observation group were given psychological intervention. Using the HAMD and HAMA for anxiety and depression status of pa- tients were assessed before and after the follow-up of two groups were compared in the management of anxiety stand- ard scores, depression standard score, and glycated hemoglobin(HbAlc), changes in two hours postprandial glu- cose, fasting blood sugar and living quality. Results The observation group of patients with anxiety and depression in the control group, a significant improvement(P<0.05) ; and the observation group of patients with FBG、 PBG、HbAIC in the control group, a significant below(P<0.05) ; and the observation group of living quality better thanthe control group(P<0. 05). Conclusion Psychological nursing intervention measures more than the routine nurs- ing care can reduce the degree of anxiety in the patients with depression, can improve the patients glucose metabo- lism, and improve the patientslivinglife
