Objective　To explore the clinical efficacy and cost of Quetiapine and Eszopiclone tablets for thetreatment of anxiety disorders. Methods　120 patients with anxiety disorder were selected from May 2012 to July 2014in our hospital .Then all the patients were randomly divided into Quetiapine group and Eszopiclone group，each with 60cases. The former group were given Quetiapine and the latter were given Eszopiclone Tablets. Results　Before ther-apy，there were no statistical differences of the scores of HAMA and SF-36 between the two groups（P >0.05）. Afterthe treatment，HAMA scores of both groups were significantly lower than before the treatment，and the difference wasstatistically significant （P <0.05）. 2，4 and 12 weeks after treatment，HAMA scores in Quetiapine group were lowerthan those in Eszopiclone Tablets group，and the difference was statistically significant （P <0.01）. In terms of treat-ment total expense，Quetiapine group was higher than Eszopiclone Tablets group，and the difference was statisticallysignificant （P <0.05）. However，there were no statistical differences of the scores of SF-36，the total efficiency andthe side effect between the two groups after treatment（P >0.05）.Conclusion　In the short term，Quetiapine is moresignificantly effective on the improvement of the symptoms of patients with anxiety disorder，but the long-term curativeeffects of Quetiapine and Eszopiclone Tablets show no difference. Both Quetiapine and Eszopiclone Tablets can effec-tively improve the quality of life of the patients yet produce less adverse reactions，but the cost of Quetiapine is higherthan that of Eszopiclone Tablets.
