Objective To explore the method and effect of the dual-track education model applied in the nursing teaching of benign thyroid tumor surgery. Methods A total of 60 interns who were instructed by nursing in the operating room of our hospital from April 2020 to March 2022 were selected for research and analysis. They were divided into two groups based on nursing teaching methods. The conventional group was simply applied LBL education model, while the experimental group was applied based on PBL and LBL education model. The results of teaching, the evaluation results of practice nurses on the nursing teaching mode, and the effect of students ability training were compared. Results The experimental groups practice and theoretical teaching scores were significantly better than the conventional group, P<0.05; the experimental groups satisfaction evaluation results for the teaching mode were significantly higher than those of the conventional group, P<0.05. The learning indexes of the students in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the conventional group, P<0.05. Conclusion The dual-track education model based on LBL and PBL can significantly improve the quality of nursing and teaching in benign thyroid tumor surgery, and can effectively improve the academic performance and comprehensive quality of nursing students, which is conducive to the improvement of teaching satisfaction, and is worth promoting.
