Esophageal cancer ranks the tenth and sixth in the worldwide cancer prevalence and mortality. Because the early clinical symptoms of esophageal cancer are not obvious, the disease has generally developed in depth at the time of diagnosis. Local advanced esophageal cancer disease is easy to invade the tissues around the esophagus, and the death rate is relatively high. In clinical practice, patients with this disease will generally use the comprehensive treatment of radiotherapy and chemotherapy combined with surgery. However, different treatment methods have different effects on disease treatment and prognosis, and there is no systematic analysis and research, so there is a great controversy in clinical practice. This study will review the progress of multi-disciplinary comprehensive treatment of locally advanced esophageal cancer, in order to provide reference for doctors to select treatment methods.
