Objective To explore the application of thunder fire moxibustion in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea with cold coagulation and blood stasis. Methods A total of 96 patients with primary dysmenorrhea of cold coagulation and blood stasis type treated in our department from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. 48 cases in the control group were treated with conventional drugs, and 48 cases in the observation group were treated with thunder fire moxibustion. The treatment effect, dysmenorrhea, pain degree and serum PGF2α level were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.75%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (70.83%, P<0.05). The duration and severity scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the low control group before and after treatment (P<0.05). The pain scores of the observation group after treatment and at follow-up were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the PGF2α level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion After thunder fire moxibustion treatment, it can improve the treatment effect of primary dysmenorrhea with cold coagulation and blood stasis, improve the duration and severity of menstruation, regulate PGF2α level, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
