Objective To explore the effect of implementing a sun protection care model after skin laser cosmetic surgery on patients. Methods The observation sample period was from February 2025 to January 2026. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 72 patients who underwent skin laser cosmetic surgery were selected for group division and observation. The control group received postoperative routine care (n=36), while the observation group received the sun protection care model (n=36). The postoperative rehabilitation indicators, complication rates, health knowledge mastery degree, and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the postoperative rehabilitation indicators of the observation group were better (P<0.05), the complication rate of the observation group was lower (P<0.05), the health knowledge mastery degree of the observation group was better (P<0.05), and the satisfaction of the observation group was higher (P<0.05). The differences were statistically significant. Conclusion The sun protection care model applied in the nursing of patients after skin laser cosmetic surgery can play a positive role, helping to reduce postoperative complications, accelerate the recovery process, and improve the health knowledge mastery degree and satisfaction of patients.
