Objective To explore the clinical value of uterine hemodynamic indicators in guiding the treatment of small residual uterine cavity in medical abortion. Methods Starting from April 2025, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of our hospital began collecting case data on medical abortion. By April 2026, a total of 50 cases were included, all of whom experienced persistent vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, and other symptoms 2 weeks later. By using vaginal color Doppler ultrasound to detect the level of uterine hemodynamic indicators in patients, analyze the applicability of expected treatment. Results Through vaginal color Doppler ultrasound detection, it was found that the blood flow pulsatility index and resistance index of non intrauterine residue patients were significantly higher than those of intrauterine residue patients (P<0.05). The success rate of expectant treatment for patients without nourishing blood flow was significantly higher at 85.19% compared to 0% for those with nourishing blood flow (P<0.05). Through logistic regression model analysis, it was found that nourishing blood flow signals are an important influencing factor leading to the expected treatment outcome of curettage surgery. Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound can detect uterine hemodynamic indicators such as pulsatility index and resistance index, which can determine the residual blood flow situation and judge the applicability and effectiveness of expected treatment based on nourishing blood flow signals. Uterine hemodynamic indicators have important guiding significance for clinical treatment.
