Objective This study aims to evaluate the application effect of personalized nursing intervention in the daily management of elderly diabetic patients, and to explore its influence on blood sugar control and weight management. Methods From January 2024 to December 2024, 80 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were selected and randomly divided into the observation group (personalized nursing intervention group) and the control group (conventional nursing group), with 40 patients in each group. The observation group received personalized nursing intervention in addition to the routine care, including personalized diet management, exercise guidance, and blood glucose monitoring. The control group received conventional nursing intervention. By comparing the fasting blood glucose, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, and body mass index before and after the intervention in both groups, the effect of nursing intervention was evaluated. Results The observation group was significantly better than the control group in fasting blood glucose (P<0.05), 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (P<0.05), glycosylated hemoglobin (P<0.05), and body mass index (P<0.05), indicating that personalized nursing intervention effectively improved multiple health indicators of diabetic patients. Conclusion Personalized nursing intervention can significantly improve the blood sugar and weight management of elderly diabetic patients and has broad clinical application prospects.
