Objective To identify the salient points of implementing nutrition intervention measures based on a team management model for individuals undergoing radiotherapy for lung cancer. Methods Study subjects - a cohort of lung cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy in our hospital, study period - June 2024 to June 2025, final sample size - 116 cases, grouping criteria - random number table method, resulting in two groups of 58 cases each: the control group (receiving conventional dietary guidance) and the observation group (receiving nutrition intervention based on a team management model). The comparison of intervention effects between the groups was conducted, with specific outcomes including nutritional status, toxic side effects, and quality of life. Results The indicators representing nutritional status showed higher levels in the observation group after intervention, and the assessment results of nutritional risk screening indicated a higher risk in the observation group (P<0.05). Regarding toxic side effects, the observation group had the lowest proportion of cases and the severity of these effects was also milder (P<0.05). The dimensions of quality of life and the overall assessment scores were higher in the observation group after intervention (P<0.05). Conclusion The salient points of implementing nutrition intervention measures based on a team management model for individuals undergoing radiotherapy for lung cancer are clear. Firstly, there is an ideal improvement in nutritional status, and secondly, it can avoid toxic side effects, enhancing the quality of life for these individuals.
