[Abstract] Objective To investigate the impacts of psychological care on operating room nurses’ degree of anxiety and depression, satisfaction with care, nursing error rate and nursing disputes event rate. Methods 80 cases of nurses working in operating room of our hospital from May 2014 to May 2016 were selected, these nurses were divided into psychological care group (n = 40) and conventional management group (n = 40) two groups based on the random number table, the anxiety and depression levels, clinicians’ operating room nursing satisfaction, care and nursing dispute errors occurred of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results The proportion of anxiety and depression no of the psychological care group were significantly higher (P <0.05), the mild, moderate were significantly lower (P <0.05), the clinicians’ of operating room nursing satisfaction with nurses’ preoperative preparation equipment items, when surgery schedule, work ethic 95.0% (38/40), 90.0% (36/40), 95.0% (38/40) were significantly higher than the conventional management group 75.0% (30/40), 75.0% (30/40), 80.0% (32/40) (P <0.05), the error rate and nursing care disputes event rate 2.5% (1/40), 2.5% (1 / 40) were significantly lower than conventional management group 15.0% (6/40), 12.5%(5/40) (P <0.05). Conclusion psychological care can effectively relieve operating room nurses’ degree of anxiety and depression, improve the nursing satisfaction, reduce the error rate and nursing care disputes event rate.
