Objective To explore and analyze the application value of the risk management model in nursing care during atypical electroconvulsive therapy recovery. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 60 patients who underwent atypical electroconvulsive therapy recovery in the hospital from January 2024 to December 2024. Among them, 30 patients from January to June 2024 received routine nursing care and served as the control group, while 30 patients from July to December 2024 received risk management care and were assigned to the observation group. The incidence of adverse events and family satisfaction of patients were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and patient family satisfaction scores were higher than those in the control group, with P < 0.05. Conclusion Risk management can significantly reduce the incidence of adverse events in patients and improve family satisfaction, making it worthy of promotion and application.
