Objective To evaluate the efficacy of temperature and humidity-controlled incubators in neonatal care. Methods A total of 60 neonates requiring incubator intervention admitted to our hospital from January to December 2025 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group (n=30 each) using a random number table. The control group received conventional incubator care, while the observation group received temperature and humidity-controlled incubator care, with both groups receiving care until the target parameters were met. The intra-incubator temperature and humidity, growth and development (mean daily weight gain, weight recovery time), clinical recovery (sleep duration, time to discharge), and complication rates were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the mean intra-incubator temperature between the two groups (P>0.05). The observation group exhibited significantly higher humidity (P<0.05). The observation group showed faster weight gain, shorter recovery and discharge times, and longer sleep duration (all P<0.05). The complication rate in the observation group was 6.67%, significantly lower than that in the control group (26.67%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Temperature and humidity-controlled incubators can optimize intra-incubator humidity, promote neonatal growth and recovery, reduce the risk of complications, and demonstrate significant clinical value.
