Objective To analyze the effect of integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment for neck, shoulder, waist, and leg pain and to analyze its characteristics. Methods A total of 200 patients with neck, shoulder, waist, and leg pain who visited the orthopedic outpatient department of our hospital from January 2025 to December 2025 were selected. They were divided into two groups using a random number table, with 100 cases in each group. The control group received Western medicine treatment, and the observation group received integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment. Pain duration, pain attack frequency, lumbar flexion range, lumbar curvature, M-JOA score, and Fugl-Meyer score were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the observation group had shorter pain duration and lower attack frequency, while lumbar flexion range and lumbar curvature were better than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the M-JOA score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the Fugl-Meyer score was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment for neck, shoulder, waist, and leg pain can more effectively shorten the duration of patient pain, reduce pain attack frequency, improve lumbar flexion range and lumbar curvature, and has obvious advantages in alleviating neurological dysfunction and promoting motor function recovery.
