【Abstract】Objective: To investigate the clinical value of SWOT analysis in the nursing supervision of kidney stone, and analyze its effect on negative emotion and nursing quality. Methods: 188 hospitalized kidney stone patients were taken as research object and were divided into research group and control group, the control group received traditional nursing, while the research group received SWOT analysis, the superiority, weakness, opportunity and threat of the nursing management of kidney stone were investigated, then we formulated corresponding nursing strategies. Results: Before the application of nursing, there was no significant difference in SAS and SDS scores between these two groups, after the application of nursing, the negative enotions of these groups improved significantly, and the SAS and SDS scores of research group were markedly lower than that of control group (P<0.01). The nursing risk events rate and nurse-patient disputes rate of research group were significantly lower than control group (P<0.01), simultaneously, nursing service satisfaction degree were significantly higher than control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: SWOT analysis is conductive to the scientific analysis of nursing problems and formulation of proper nursing countermeasures. Therefore, SWOT analysis might be of great value in maintaining emotional stability and protecting the patients’ life health.
