| Abstract |
Objective To investigate the correlation between anxiety status in patients with colorectal cancer and its quality of life and mental toughness. Methods 78 cases of colorectal cancer patients were collected in our hospital from July 2015 to July 2016 was admitted to the study. Anxiety condition of the patient self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) for evaluation. Mental toughness was measured using the scale of resilience. Quality of life assessment using QLQ-C30 quality of life questionnaire for evaluation, correlation between anxiety status of patients with their quality of life and mental toughness were analyzed. Results All patients combined with anxiety were 42 cases (53.84%). Patients with colorectal cancer in women, divorced or widowed, the lower the education level, the more difficult families are getting easier to anxiety (P <0.05). Female patient, married, higher education level and family economic situation in their mental toughness were better (P <0.05). Married patients and family economic situation were better in their quality of life (P <0.05), quality of life and gender differences in education level of patients was not statistically significant. Different anxiety and mental toughness colorectal cancer patients dimension (self-reliance, optimism, tenacity), each dimension of quality of life (physical function, role function, emotional function, cognitive function, social function) was negatively correlated (P <0.05). Stepwise linear regression model showed that the family economic level, marital status, educational level, mental toughness and quality of life of patients with colorectal cancer affect the degree of anxiety. Conclusion colorectal cancer patients with anxiety condition their quality of life and mental toughness interaction exists, should be actively administered to the patient anxiety and psychological interventions to improve mental toughness, improve the quality of life of patients.
