[Abstract] Objective To investigate the improvement roles of psychological care in postpartum depression, functional recovery and breastfeeding of natural birth maternity.Methods 80 cases of natural childbirth maternity who were treated in our hospital from May 2014 to May 2016 were selected, these maternity were divided into psychological care group (n = 40) and usual care group (n = 40) two groups according to the random number table, the postpartum depression, functional recovery and breastfeeding of natural birth maternity of the two groups were statistically analyzed.Results The proportions of no postpartum depression, mild depression of the psychological care group were significantly higher (P <0.05), the proportions of moderate depression, severe depression were significantly lower (P <0.05), the incidence of bleeding 45.0% (18/40) was significantly lower than the usual care group 70.0% (28/40) (P <0.05), the 24h postpartum hemorrhage was significantly less (P <0.05), the three-path of uterus was significantly smaller (P <0.05), the gastrointestinal function recovery time was significantly shorter (P <0.05), the open milk was significantly shorter (P <0.05), the breastfeeding success rate 95.0% (38/40 ) was significantly higher than the usual care group 77.5% (31/40) (P <0.05).Conclusion Psychological care can improve postpartum depression, functional recovery and breastfeeding of natural birth maternity.
