Objective To investigate the effect of Doula-accompanied childbirth on reducing maternal fear of childbirth and enhancing self-efficacy. Methods 80 parturients who were received between May 2024 and May 2025 were selected and randomly divided into a control group (40 cases, receiving routine care) and an observation group (40 cases, receiving Doula care in addition to routine care) using a random number table method. Compare and evaluate the fear of childbirth, self-efficacy score, psychological state (anxiety, depression) score, incidence of adverse events, and nursing satisfaction between the two groups. Results Before nursing, there was no significant difference in the fear of childbirth, self-efficacy score, and psychological state score between the two groups of patients (P>0.05). After nursing, the observation group had significantly lower scores for childbirth fear and psychological state than the control group (P<0.05), and higher scores for self-efficacy than the control group (P<0.05); In addition, the incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), and nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of guided music during childbirth has a significant effect on reducing maternal fear of childbirth and enhancing self-efficacy. It can also effectively reduce the incidence of adverse events, improve nursing satisfaction, and has high application value.
