Objective This study investigated the clinical efficacy and safety of antipsychotic drugs combined with biofeedback therapy in the treatment of first-episode schizophrenia patients. Methods A total of 70 first-episode schizophrenia patients admitted to the psychiatry department of our hospital from January 2025 to January 2026 were enrolled. The control group received only antipsychotic medication, while the experimental group received antipsychotic drugs combined with biofeedback therapy. The therapeutic outcomes between the two groups were compared. Results The PANSS scores in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group. Cognitive function scores and treatment efficacy rates were significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, with a significantly lower incidence of adverse reactions. All intergroup comparisons showed statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Antipsychotic drugs combined with biofeedback therapy demonstrate significant efficacy in treating first-episode schizophrenia, effectively improving patients' psychiatric symptoms, social functioning, and quality of life, with favorable safety profiles. This approach is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
