[Abstract] Objective: Exploring the correlation between physical type and psychological factors in children with recurrent respiratory tract infections (RRTI). Methods: Selecting 106 children with RRTI who received medical treatment from March 2023 to March 2025 as the research subjects, evaluating their physical type and psychological status, and analyzing the correlation between their physical type and psychological factors. Results:Out of 106 pediatric patients, 8 cases fell out, and the final study was completed with 98 cases, resulting in a dropout rate of 7.55%; Among the 98 children with RRTI, the constitution was mainly characterized by qi deficiency (30.61%) and yin deficiency (20.41%), with the lowest proportion of calm constitution (2.04%). Psychological assessment showed that 36.73% of the children were positive for anxiety, 29.59% were positive for depression, and 38.78% had emotional fluctuations; There were significant differences in psychological scores among different physical constitutions (P<0.05), with the highest incidence of anxiety and emotional fluctuations due to the separation of qi deficiency and qi stagnation, and the highest incidence of low mood due to qi depression; Correlation analysis shows that Qi deficiency is positively correlated with separation anxiety, Qi depression is positively correlated with low mood, and damp heat is positively correlated with poor sleep quality (all P<0.05). Conclusion: The constitution of children with RRTI is mainly characterized by qi stagnation, qi deficiency, yin deficiency, and damp heat, which are closely related to generalized anxiety, damp heat, and somatization/panic psychology.
