【Abstract】Objective To observe the intervention effect of solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) combined with artificial tears on patients with dry eye syndrome (DES) complicated with anxiety.Method From January 2023 to January 2025, 80 patients with dry eye syndrome combined with anxiety in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group (artificial tear therapy, 40 cases) and observation group (focal solution short-course therapy combined with artificial tear therapy, 40 cases). The dry eye symptom score, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) score, tear film break-up time (TBUT), Schirmer's test value (tear secretion), Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) score, and 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) score were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Result After treatment, the dry eye symptom scores, SAS scores and OSDI scores of both groups showed a downward trend compared with those before treatment. The above scores of the observation group were all lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the tear film break-up time, tear secretion volume and quality of life score of both groups showed an increasing trend compared with those before treatment. The above indicators of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Solution-focused brief therapy combined with artificial tears can significantly improve the clinical efficacy, alleviate dry eye symptoms and anxiety, and enhance the quality of life in patients with DES complicated with anxiety.
