[Abstract] Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of aripiprazole combined with risperidone in the treatment of schizophrenia with aggressive behavior. Methods A total of 105 patients with schizophrenia and aggressive behavior were enrolled from January 2023 to January 2025. They were randomly divided into two groups using the digital table method: the control group (n = 52) and the observation group (n = 53). The control group received risperidone treatment, while the observation group received risperidone combined with aripiprazole. The following scales were compared before and after treatment: Positive and Negative Symptom Scale, Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE), Psychotic Social Functioning Scale, and Overt Aggression Behavior Scale. Results After treatment, the scores for all psychiatric symptoms were significantly reduced in both groups, and the scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed significant increases in MMSE scores and social functioning scores, with the observation group significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, both groups showed decreases in aggression scores, with the observation group significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The combination of aripiprazole and risperidone in the treatment of schizophrenia with aggressive behavior can further alleviate psychiatric symptoms, improve cognitive and social functioning, and reduce aggressive behavior.
