[Abstract] Objective To explore the effect of the use of Beck cognitive therapy in the psychological care of patients undergoing chemotherapy for osteosarcoma. Methods A total of 104 cases of osteosarcoma chemotherapy patients were selected from March 2022 to April 2024 as the observation subjects of this study, and were randomly divided into two groups by numerical table method. Both groups were subjected to chemotherapy basic care, the control group used conventional psychological care, and the observation group used Beck cognitive therapy for psychological care. Comparison of Hamilton depression scale (HAMD), Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA), Quality of life questionnaire-core (QLQ-C30), and quality of life questionnaire-core (QLQ-C30) before and after the nursing care. 30 (QLQ-C30), Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI). Results After psychological care, HAMD scores and HAMA scores were significantly lower in both groups, but both scores were lower in the observation group after care (P<0.05). After psychological care, PSQI index was significantly lower and QLQ-C30 score was significantly higher in both groups, but PSQI index was lower and QLQ-C30 score was higher in the observation group after care (P<0.05). Conclusion Beck Cognitive Therapy significantly reduces anxiety and depression and improves sleep quality as well as quality of life in patients undergoing chemotherapy for osteosarcoma.
