[Abstract] Objective To study the therapeutic effect of duloxetine combined with olanzapine in patients with depression and somatic symptoms,and observe its effects of the serum levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and serum nerve growth factor (NGF) in patients.Methods The clinical dataes of 72 patients with depression and physical symptoms who visited in our hospital from April 2021 to October 2023 were collected, and the retrospective analysis were conducted.Among them, 38 cases received Duloxetine combined with Olanzapine treatment,they were as the observation group,another 34 cases were treated with duloxetine and were as the control group.The treatment effects and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups were compared,the physical functional symptoms of two groups of patients were recorded.The levels of neurotrophic factors in patients before and after treatment [serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and serum nerve growth factor (NGF)] were detected.Results The overall therapeutic effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05),There were no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients (P＞0.05).The medical outcomes study pain measurement scores after treatment in the observation group were significantly lower than the control group,the montreal cognitive assessment scale scores were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05).After treatment, the serum NGF and BDNF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of duloxetine and olanzapine has significant effect on patients with depression and physical symptoms. It can improve serum NGF and BDNF levels, alleviate physical pain symptoms, and improve cognitive function.
