[Abstract] Objective To investigate the mental and psychological status of children, who underwent iRoot BP Plus pulpotomy for primary teeth, its related factors were analyzed. Methods 102 children who underwent iRoot BP Plus pulpotomy for primary teeth admitted in our hospital from March 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects, the Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS) was used to evaluate the mental and psychological status of children, the incidence of dental anxiety was recorded. The logistic multiple factor model was analyzed the relevant factors, which affected the dental anxiety and the predictive model was established and its diagnostic value was analyzed. Results 98 cases were completed the questionnaire survey in the 102 pediatric patients, and 24 developed dental anxiety, the incidence rate was 24.49%.The results of multiple factor analysis show that the cultural level of family members(β=-0.263, 95%CI=0.628-0.942, P=0.011), sleep quality(β=-0.538, 95%CI=0.397-0.859, P=0.006), FES-CV score(β=-0.354, 95%CI=0.515-0.956, P=0.025) were protective factor for dental anxiety in children, the dental pain(β=0.883, 95%CI=1.659-3.521, P<0.001) was risk factor for dental anxiety in pediatric patients. The prediction model formula logitP=-0.263×(X2)-0.538×(X3)-0.354×(X4)+0.883×(X5)+0.927 was establishrd, which based on the results of multiple factor analysis. The ROC analysis results showed that the AUC of the model for detecting dental anxiety in children was 0.805 (SE=0.086, 95%CI=0.637-0.973, P=0.001),the sensitivity was 0.833 and the specificity was 0.760.Conclusion The children underwent iRoot BP Plus pulpotomy for primary teeth are at risk of dental anxiety, which are related to their family's educational level, sleep quality, FES-CV score, and tooth pain level.
