Modern Social Science Research

Against the backdrop of deepening globalization and intensifying civilizational conflicts, the reconstruction of Chinese cultural subjectivity has become a key issue in realizing cultural confidence and facilitating mutual civilizations exchanges. This study addresses the practical challenges of cultural inheritance and innovation faced by Chinese cultural subjectivity in the global context. Guided by the “Second Combination,” it constructs a trinity theoretical framework of “autonomy-continuity-innovation” and develops a value reconstruction model of “screening-decoding-translating-regenerating.” Through a cultural DNA screening mechanism, it demonstrates the feasibility of reconstructing Chinese cultural subjectivity in advancing the development of a modern socialist culture. The “Second Combination” provides methodological support from Marxism for this reconstruction, enabling a profound mutual interpretation between Marxism and fine traditional Chinese culture. The value reconstruction of Chinese cultural subjectivity offers both a theoretical foundation and a practical path for building a modern socialist culture in the new era. It serves as a strategic choice for safeguarding national cultural security, promoting mutual civilizations exchanges worldwide, and fostering a new type of international cultural relations.
