Abstract Objective: To observe the effect of Ritalin on cognitive function of ADHD in children. Methods: Randomly selected in January 2015 ~2016 year in June in our hospital 86 cases of children with ADHD, according to different treatment methods, were randomly divided into observation group (n=43) and control group (n=43), the observation group were given Ritalin treatment, control group received EEG bio feedback therapy, cognitive function of two groups of children the comparison before and after treatment. Results: before treatment, two groups of patients with learning, behavior, body, hyperactivity, anxiety factor scores compared no significant difference, no statistical significance (P>0.05); after treatment, the two groups of patients with learning, behavior, body, hyperactivity, anxiety factor score was significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05) and the observation group behavior, learning, body, hyperactivity, anxiety factor scores were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); before treatment, two groups of patients with digit span, encoding, arithmetic, C factor compared no significant difference, no statistical significance (P<0.05); after treatment, digit span, two groups of patients, C encoding, arithmetic factor significantly higher than before treatment (P<0.05), and the observation group of patients with digit span, encoding, arithmetic, C factor was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Ritalin can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and cognitive function of children with ADHD, which has clinical value.
