【Abstract】Objective：To explore the effect of psychological nursing on anxiety, sleep quality and quality of life in ICU patients with severe illness… Method：Retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 76 cases of severe ICU patients in our hospital during December 2013 ~2014 December were, according to treatment methods are divided into the control group (37 cases) and observation group (39 cases), were given routine nursing and routine nursing combined with psychological nursing. The two groups were observed before and after the nursing intervention anxiety score and the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and quality of life after care, and compared.Results：Before and after different nursing intervention respectively on two groups of patients with anxiety score and sleep quality index of Pittsburgh (PSQI), available with this group before intervention were two scores were significantly different in the group, P < 0.05; and after nursing intervention were compared to the observation group and the observation group after nursing intervention there is a statistically significant difference between group score two, score of the observation group were significantly lower than the control group (P < 0.05). After different nursing intervention, the scores of the SF-36 health questionnaire in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion：The implementation of comprehensive and careful psychological nursing for ICU patients can significantly alleviate the anxiety, improve their sleep quality and quality of life.
