[Abstract] Objective To investigate the association between 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25-(OH)D] and postoperative disease uncertainty, depression, anxiety in breast cancer patients with radical mastectom. Methods 62 patients with breast cancer who underwent radical mastectom in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected as observation group, another 40 cases of healthy physical examination were selected as control group. All were evaluated by Mishels Disease Uncertainty Scale (MUIS), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD),and the serum level of 25-(OH)D was determined. The association between scores of MIUS,HAMA,HAMD and serum level of 25-(OH)D was analyzed. Results The scores of various dimensions of MIUS,HAMA,HAMD in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05),and the 25-(OH)D level in observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group ( P<0.05);There was 54 patients (87.10%) with moderate and high degree of disease uncertainty,40 patients (64.52%) with anxiety ,45 patients (72.58%) with depression,43 patients (69.35%) with 25-(OH)D deficiency/deficiency;The serum level of 25-(OH)D was significantly negatively correlated with the scores of MIUS,HAMA and HAMD (r=-0.398,-0.498,-0.421;P<0.05). Conclusion Disease uncertainty, anxiety and depression are prevalent in breast cancer patients with radical mastectomy, lower serum level of 25-(OH)D was associated with the the severity of postoperative disease uncertainty, depression and anxiety.Vitamin D supplementation may provide an effective way to prevent and treatment of postoperative anxiety and depression of patients with breast cancer.
