课程思政视域下时事新闻融入大学英语阅读课的实践研究:学习者体验视角

A learner-experience study of integrating current affairs into college English reading from the perspective of curriculum-based ideological and political education

摘要
全面推进课程思政建设的战略背景下,本研究基于赋权增能理念,构建了时事新闻融入大学英语阅读课教学模式,并应用于教学实践,用实证研究方法检验该模式的有效性,以期丰富大学英语课程思政的实证研究成果,为不同类别的外语课程和其它专业课程思政提供实践参考。本研究在93名大一学生中开展该模式教学,通过书面反馈和课堂观察,从学习者体验视角检验该模式的效果。研究结果表明:时事新闻融入大学英语阅读课教学模式能帮助学生拓展视野,扩大词汇量,增强英语阅读能力、写作能力、演讲能力、逻辑思维能力、概括能力、自主学习能力、团队合作能力和工作责任感,还有助于培养学生社会主义核心价值观、团队协作精神、集体主义观念、社会责任感、国家认同感与文化自信。
Abstract
In the strategic context of comprehensively promoting the development of curriculum-based ideological and political education, this study, guided by the concept of empowerment, has designed, implemented and validated a model that integrates current-affair news into college English reading classes to enrich the empirical research on ideological and political education in college English and to provide practical references for integrating ideological and political education into various foreign language courses and other specialized subjects. This model was implemented with 93 freshmen, and its effectiveness was examined from the perspective of learner experiences through written feedback and classroom observation. The findings indicate that this model has helped students broaden their horizons, expand their vocabulary, and enhance their English reading comprehension, writing skills, public speaking abilities, logical thinking, summarization skills, autonomous learning capacity, teamwork skills and sense of professional responsibility. Furthermore, it has contributed to fostering students' socialist core values, teamwork spirit, collectivism, social responsibility, national identity and cultural confidence.
