The operation and maintenance of rural domestic sewage treatment facilities has become one of the key bottlenecks restricting the improvement of the rural living environment. Currently, problems such as shortage of operation and maintenance funds, lack of professional personnel, unstable equipment operation, and incomplete supervision mechanisms exist in many regions, which directly affect the service efficiency and sustainable development of the treatment facilities. Based on the investigation of the operation status in typical regions, this paper analyzes the main difficulties in operation and maintenance, and puts forward practical countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of constructing a long-term operation and maintenance mechanism, strengthening personnel training, promoting technical optimization, and improving the supervision system. It is expected to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the efficient operation and management of rural sewage treatment facilities.
