【Abstract】 Objective To explore the effect of occupational rehabilitation skills training on psychiatric symptoms and social function in patients with schizophrenic(SCH). Methods 100 inpatients with SCH were randomly divided into observation group and control group,50 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with psychiatric drugs for maintenance,the control group received conventional closed rehabilitation treatment, the observation group received occupational rehabilitation skills training.The Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Social Function of Psychiat-ric inpatients Rating Scale (SSPI) scores at before treatment and 3,6 months after treatment between the two groups were compared. Results At the end of 3 and 6 months after treatment,the positive, negative, general psychopathic single factor scores and total score of the PANSS scale in observation group were significantly lower than before treatment and control group(P<0.05),while the daily life, mobility and interaction, social activity skills score and total score of the SSPI scale in observation group were significantly higher than before treatment and control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The occupational rehabilitation skills training can effectively improve the psychiatric symptoms and social function of convalescent SCH patients,it may be a new way of vocational rehabilitation in promoting the rehabilitation of disease and functional status.
