International Research in Chinese Medicine

This study aims to explore the effects of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)foot bath and conventional foot care on blood circulation improvement in critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, as well as the differences in nursing satisfaction and compliance. A total of 60 critically ill patients admitted to our hospital were selected as research subjects and divided into the study group (TCM foot bath,30 cases) and the control group (conventional foot care,30 cases) according to the principle of random grouping. The incidence of complications, nursing satisfaction, and overall compliance rate were compared between the two groups. Statistical analysis showed that the incidence of complications in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group. The nursing satisfaction scores of the study group in terms of nursing safety, nursing effectiveness, operational skills, and nursing services were all significantly higher than those of the control group. In conclusion, TCM foot bath care is more effective than conventional foot care in improving blood circulation in critically ill patients. It not only reduces the incidence of related complications but also enhances nursing satisfaction and patient compliance, making it highly valuable for clinical promotion.
