Objective To explore the clinical effect of Zhishen Acupuncture combined with Jingu Zangfu massage in the treatment of spasmodic torticollis. Methods Sixty-four patients with spasmodic torticollis admitted to our hospital from October 2023 to October 2024 were selected and randomly divided into the conventional group and the traditional Chinese medicine group, with 32 cases in each group. The conventional group was given conventional Western medicine treatment, while the traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with Zhishen Acupuncture combined with Jingu Zangfu Massage on the basis of the conventional group. The abnormal neck posture (TSUI score), pain degree (VAS score), quality of life (SF-36 score), and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The traditional Chinese medicine group was superior to the conventional group in improving abnormal neck posture, reducing pain and enhancing the quality of life, with statistical differences. There was no significant difference in the comparison of adverse reactions between the two groups. Conclusion The combination of Zhishen Needle therapy, Jingu Zangfu massage and conventional Western medicine in the treatment of spasmodic torticollis can significantly improve abnormal neck posture, relieve pain, enhance the quality of life, and has good safety. It has clinical promotion and application value.
