Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Yiqi Fumai injection combined with dronedarone on elderly patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Methods The subjects of this study were 60 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation admitted to our hospital between May 2023 and May 2025. All patients were randomly divided into two groups. Among them, 30 cases in the control group were treated with dronedarone; Observation group of 30 cases, treated with injection of Yiqi Fumai combined with dronedarone. Compare the resting heart rate, incidence of atrial fibrillation, occurrence of adverse reactions, and overall treatment efficacy between the observation group and the control group. Results The resting heart rate and incidence of atrial fibrillation in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the treatment effect and heart function were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05), with statistically significant differences. There was no significant difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients after treatment (P>0.05), and there was no statistical significance. Conclusion The combined use of Yiqi Fumai injection and dronedarone in the treatment of elderly patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation can significantly improve clinical symptoms, achieve better treatment outcomes, improve cardiac function, and have high safety.
