Abstract
Objective To explore the application effects of implementing a time management nursing program for elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic hernia repair under general anesthesia. Methods This study included 80 elderly patients treated at our hospital who underwent laparoscopic hernia repair under general anesthesia. Using a random number table method, these 80 patients were divided into two groups: the control group, consisting of 40 patients, received routine nursing care; the study group, also with 40 patients, implemented a time management nursing program. The effectiveness of nursing interventions between the two groups was compared and analyzed. Results Compared with the control group patients, the study group patients had significantly shorter times to first ambulation after surgery and shorter total hospital stays, and the incidence of complications in the study group was significantly lower, with statistically significant differences between the groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Implementing a time-managed nursing protocol for elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic hernia repair under general anesthesia can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and significantly promote the recovery process after surgery.
