Objective To study and analyze the effect of progressive rehabilitation nursing combined with wax therapy on the functional recovery of the knee joint after tibial plateau fracture surgery. Methods From January 2022 to December 2024, 120 patients with tibial plateau fractures who underwent surgical treatment were admitted. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table. The control group received routine postoperative care, while the observation group received progressive rehabilitation nursing combined with wax therapy. The effects were analyzed. Results The functional recovery of the knee joint in the observation group after surgery was better than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 1.67%, which was lower than 11.67% in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion For patients with tibial plateau fractures during the postoperative recovery stage, the implementation of progressive rehabilitation nursing combined with wax therapy can effectively promote the functional recovery of the knee joint and control the incidence of postoperative complications.
