Objective To analyze the health effects of elderly hypertensive patients receiving preventive and rehabilitation care. Methods Ninety elderly patients with hypertension who visited our hospital from September 2024 to September 2025 were selected and randomly divided into two groups using a random number table. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received preventive and rehabilitation care. Compare the blood pressure levels, quality of life, psychological status, and incidence of complications between two groups. Results The observation group had lower systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, SAS, SDS scores, and incidence of complications compared to the control group. The GQOLI-74 scores in all dimensions were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Providing preventive healthcare and rehabilitation nursing services to elderly patients with hypertension can effectively regulate and control their blood pressure status, improve their quality of life and psychological state, and reduce the incidence of complications. It is worth promoting and applying.
