Objective This study investigates the clinical outcomes of implementing a WeChat-based tri-party dual-track interactive nursing model for PICC catheterized patients in oncology departments. Methods The study was conducted from March 2024 to March 2025, selecting PICC catheterized patients admitted to oncology departments as subjects. Patients maintained absolute informed consent rights and voluntarily participated in the study. The control group (n=40) received standard care, while the observation group (n=40) underwent WeChat-based tri-party dual-track interactive nursing. Data indicators were collected and compared to evaluate different nursing outcomes. Results Significant differences emerged between the two groups in six-month post-discharge self-management ability scores, complication incidence rates, and nursing satisfaction evaluations. The observation group demonstrated superior performance compared to the control group, with all P-values <0.05 after statistical analysis. Conclusion Implementing WeChat-based tri-party dual-track interactive nursing during PICC catheterization significantly enhances self-management capabilities, reduces complication risks, prolongs catheter usage duration, decreases economic expenditures, and conserves medical resources. These findings indicate that such nursing approaches can positively impact healthcare development and warrant clinical adoption.
