Abstract
Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of extracorporeal shock wave acupoint treatment on rotator cuff injury. Methods A total of 88 research subjects were included in this study, all of whom were patients with rotator cuff injuries who were treated in the hospital from June 2024 to June 2025. They were grouped by random number table method into the control group (conventional rehabilitation treatment, n=44) and the experimental group (extracorporeal shock wave acupoint treatment, n=44). The shoulder joint pain, shoulder joint function and shoulder joint range of motion of the two groups were compared. Results In terms of VAS score and UCLA score, the experimental group was superior to the control group (P < 0.05). In terms of the range of motion of external rotation of the shoulder joint, forward flexion of the shoulder joint and backward extension of the shoulder joint, the experimental group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion For patients with rotator cuff injuries, the implementation of extracorporeal shock wave acupoint therapy has a definite effect. It can relieve shoulder joint pain, increase shoulder joint range of motion, and improve shoulder joint function. It can be further promoted and applied in clinical practice.
