| Abstract |
Abstract Objective: To investigate the effect of fast track surgery (FTS) combined with psychological counseling in radical resection of colon cancer. Methods From June 2012 to June 2014, 102 cases of colon cancer patients prospectively collected in gastrointestinal surgery in our hospital as the research objects, and they were divided into 2 groups. The study group received rapid rehabilitation treatment combined with psychological counseling, while the control group were treated with routine rehabilitation program, and each group has 51 cases. The intraoperative situation, postoperative recovery and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The anal exhaust time, the time from started eating to operation ending, postoperative hospital stay and wound healing time of the study group were significantly shorter than the control group, and has statistical significance (P<0.05); the level of CRP after operation of the study group was significantly lower than the control group (t=2.134, P=0.035), IL-6 level was significantly lower than the control group (t=4.935 P=0.000, WBC), and was also significantly lower than that of the control group (t=8.540, P=0.000); incision or pulmonary infection, sore throat appeared in patients of the study group after operation, the number of cases of nausea and vomiting and abdominal distension was less than the control group, and the total complication rate was 27.45%, significantly lower than 62.75% in the control group(X2=12.830, P=0.000). Conclusion Fast track surgery (FTS) combined with psychological counseling can reduce perioperative stress response, promote postoperative rehabilitation and improve the quality of life of patients with colon cancer.
