Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of social worker intervention on rehabilitation status and family psychology of tumor patients after discharge from hospital. Methods: during the period from January 2015 to January 2017 160 cases of volunteer community cancer patients and their families as the object of study, according to the random number table method divided into observation group (n=80) and control group (n=80), to control the implementation of routine follow-up intervention group patients, the patients in the observation group to conduct extensive intervention of social worker intervention. At the same time, the psychological status of the family members of the two groups was compared by the self rating Depression Scale (SDS) and the self rating Anxiety Scale (SAS). Results: by comparison, patients in the observation group QOL scores were significantly better than the control group with significant difference (P<0.05), and the activities of daily living capacity of patients between the two groups the difference was also statistically significant (P<0.05); at the same time, family members of the observation group SDS and SAS scores of more than the control group, the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: social work intervention can help improve patients of cancer patients after the ability of daily life and quality of life, while improving the families of patients with negative emotions, thus improving the overall rehabilitation prognosis, it is worthy of popularization and application.
