Objective To explore and analyze the nursing application effect of psychological nursing mode on elderly patients with cardiovascular disease. Methods Sixty elderly patients with cardiovascular disease admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to September 2025 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group according to a random number table pattern, with 30 patients in each group. According to different nursing modes, the control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received additional psychological nursing mode on top of routine nursing. Compare the psychological status (anxiety SAS, depression SDS), treatment compliance (medication use, health behavior, regular follow-up), quality of life (SF-36), length of hospital stay, and nursing satisfaction between two groups. Results The observation group showed more significant improvement in anxiety and depression, higher quality of life scores, better treatment compliance, shorter hospital stay, and increased nursing satisfaction, all of which were superior to the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (p<0.05). Conclusion The psychological nursing model can effectively improve the psychological state and quality of life of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease, enhance treatment compliance and nursing satisfaction, and shorten hospitalization time. It has clinical promotion and application value.
