Objective To explore the effect of personalized nursing for patients with herpes zoster and analyze its impact on negative emotions and neuralgia in patients. Methods A total of 78 patients with herpes zoster were enrolled and screened from January 2023 to December 2024. They were divided into an observation group (39 cases, receiving personalized care) and a control group (39 cases, receiving routine care) using the double color ball method. Compare the degree of improvement in neuropathic pain, negative emotions, and incidence of complications between two groups of patients before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the pain level (NRS score using the numerical scoring method) in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, P＜0.05; Comparison of Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) scores after intervention showed that the observation group had lower scores, P＜0.05; Comparison of Self Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores after intervention showed that the observation group had lower scores than the control group, P＜0.05; The incidence of complications was compared, with an observation group of 2.56% and a control group of 15.38%, P<0.05. Conclusion Personalized nursing for patients with herpes zoster can effectively improve their negative emotions, reduce the severity of neuralgia, and lower the incidence of complications, which is worth promoting.
