[Abstract] Objective To investigate the effect of Butylphthalide Soft Capsules combined with antidepressants on emotional disorders and recovery of brain function in patients with moderate to severe depression after acute cerebral infarction (ACI). Methods 438 cases of patients with ACI treated in our hospital from March 2016 to March 2017 were enrolled in the study, including 150 cases with moderate or severe depression. By the random number table method, 150 patients with depression after ACI were randomly divided into the observation group (n=75) and the control group (n=75). Based on the routine treatment of ACI, the control group were treated with oral administration of Sertraline Hydrochloride Tablets while the observation group were treated with oral administration of Butylphthalide Soft Capsules combined with Sertraline Hydrochloride Tablets. The clinical curative effect, scores of the U.S. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Chinese Stroke Scale (CSS), scores of Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.
