Abstract Objective To explore the changes of cognitive function and P300 after fluoxetine combined with olanzapine in the treatment of parkinsons disease with depression. Methods A total of 123 cases of parkinsons disease with depression patients in psychiatry department of our hospital from Jan. 2015 to Nov. 2016 were selected and divided randomly into control group (n=61) and experiment group (n=62) according to the random number table method. Control group were treated with fluoxetine, and experiment groupwere treated combined with small dose olanzapine, 2 groups were treated for 8 weeks. Assessed the depressive state by (Hamilton depressive Scale) HAMD before and after treatment, statisticsed tghe clinical efficacy; assessed the changes of cognitive function before and after treatment by (mini-mental state examination) MMSE and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), and detected the changes of P300 incubation and amplitude by electrical trigger potentiometer. Results Compared with before treatment, the HAMD scores gradually decrease 2-8 weeks after treatment, 2 weeks after treatemnt of experiment group and 4-8 weeks after treatment of 2 groups were lower than before treatment (P<0.01), and experiment group was lower than control group 2-8 weeks after treatment (P<0.01); The clinical tatal efficacy of experiment group 8 weeks after treatment (70.97%) was hiher than control group (32.79%) (P<0.01); The MoCA scores of 2 groups and the MMSE score of experiment group increased significantly compared with before treatemnt 8 weeks after treatment (P<0.01), and the MoCA and MMSE scores of experiment group were higher than that of control group (P<0.01); The P300 amplitude shortened significantly compared with before treatment, and the P300 incubation increased significantly compared with before treatment 8 weeks after treatment (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the difference between 2 groups was significant (P<0.01). Conclusion Fluoxetine combined with olanzapine can improve the depressive state of parkinsons disease with depression patients, increase the cognitive function, adjust the P300 Cognitive potential, the clinical efficacy is superior to fluoxetine alone.
