Abstract:Objective:To explore the duloxetine combined with low dose of olanzapine in patients with depression, and observe the occurence of adverse drug reaction. Methods: 89 cases with depression was selected, and was divided into two groups: experimental group(duloxetine and small dose olanzapine, n=45) and control group(only duloxetine n=44), the duration was 8 weeks, The depression were evaluated with Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) before and after therapy. Observe the occurence of adverse drug reaction. Results: The therapeutic efficacy in control group 77.3%，and in experimental group was 88.9%，The therapeutic efficacy in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05 ); At the end of 1 week after therapy. The score was decreased on HAMD and HAMA after therapy(P＜0.05), but was decreased more in experimental group (P＜0.05). The adverse reactions were dry mouth, dizziness, weight gain and lethargy in the two groups, and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion: Duloxetine combining with low dose of olanzapine was more effective than single drug on patients with depression.
