Abstract: Objective: Objective to study the influence of psychological nursing on anxiety, depression and pain degree of elderly patients in Department of ENT. Methods: 146 elderly patients in our hospital in January 2015 -2017 year in January were underwent Department of ENT surgery patients, according to the principle of random control is divided into intervention group and control group, the control group was given routine nursing, psychological nursing intervention group. Using the self rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and self rating Depression Scale (SDS) were used to evaluate the patients mental state, using the visual analogue scale (VAS) assessment of the degree of pain in 24h, 48h, 72h after surgery, using the questionnaire to calculate nursing satisfaction of patients. Results: Before treatment, two groups of patients with SDS and SAS were no difference (P>0.05); nursing, two groups of patients with SDS and SAS scores were significantly decreased, SDS and SAS scores in the intervention group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05); after 24h, 48h, 72h, VAS scores of patients in the intervention group and the analgesic drug use rate compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); the intervention group total satisfaction was 98.6% higher than that of the control group 84.9%, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Psychological nursing for elderly patients in Department of ENT can relieve postoperative pain, reduce the use rate of analgesic drugs, and reduce the negative emotions. It is worthy of clinical application.
