【Abstract】 Objective: To investigate the effect of risperidone treatment combined with intervention of case management on post schizophrenia depression and its impact on cognitive function. Methods: 120 patients who treated the post schizophrenia depression at our hospital during Mar 2010 to May 2013 were randomly selected and divided into two groups. In the risperidone group, patients were treated only with risperidone; while in the combined group, patients were treated with risperidone and intervention of case management. The cognitive improvement and overall efficacy of patients in the two groups were retrospectively analyzed. Results: After the treatment, the assessment result of Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) in the combined group was significantly better than that in the risperidone group. The positive and negative symptom scale (PANSS) and the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) scores were significantly lower than that of the risperidone group (P <0.05). The dimension scores of life quality WHOQOL-100 (QOL-100) in the combined group after treatment were significantly higher than that in the risperidone group, and the between-group comparison difference was also significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: the risperidone treatment combined with intervention of case management on post schizophrenia depression has better overall effect, which can also promote the cognitive function to a greater extent.
